They need to be in the MS-67+ range to make it worthwhile, IMHO.

Save the grading and postage fee for something else, the coin has been through circulation as you can see from the rim, and the highest points has some contact marks.

Was a thought was thinking just maybe because 1982 they didn't make any sets for that year.

Oh and why do the 9s in the dates look different but the same year?

They both look to be AU to me. Certainly 2x2 worthy or album fillers but not worth TPG grading.

What difference does that make? Almost 11 million 1982 were minted, and over 13 million 1982-D.

Definitely not worth grading. Common coin, average condition.
