What difference does that make? Almost 11 million 1982 were minted, and over 13 million 1982-D. Definitely not worth grading. Common coin, average condition. Report this Post to the Staff

The number of possible mint state examples is reduced by the number of mint sets typically produced. The result is that the percentage of surviving mint state coins is much lower than normal years. Price guides show a decent bump in MS values for 1982 and 1983, although usually not enough to cover the cost grading.
