Found this 64 Kennedy in a tin I'm pretty sure my dad must have put it in 1964 or whenever it came into his possession given how white the coin still is. It was never in a case until yesterday. Wondering if you guys thought it would grade out high enough where it might be worth getting slabbed?

And in the picture where it appears to be in the case still- the front of the case is off.

Slightly circulated common date Kennedy half dollar 90% silver . Not
worth sending it in . Value maybe a little more than melt .

So I can better grade my own coins, where are you seeing evident signs of circulation?

Thanks in advance!

Why does the coin look coppery? Here is a good site to learn grading https://www.PCGS.com/photograde/

For whatever reason my camera on my phone does that when I zoom in. Everything I read on the internet said to zoom in from far away for clearer photos, but when I kept it in the case with the white around then my camera doesn't do that. Iphone operator error maybe because I'm sure there is a setting LOL.

I'm on that website right now and I bought the book! Thanks! I dont see much of a difference between mine and a MS other than in my photos the luster might be impeding some of the detail in the hair on the back of the head. I can count the feathers on the neck of the eagle with my naked eye in good lighting. Not sure where the circulation wear is.

I'm not sure about circulation...but the tick marks in the fields (below the nose and in front of his face) would hold this back from being grade worthy...imho

To me, color aside, the pics are not sharp enough to grade from.
