Are the colors in the images true to the look of the coin? What sets this apart from other nickels in your opinion? I don't see anything in the pictures that would make me think this wasn't just a normal circulation Jefferson.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Nickels are not my thing, so take this with a grain of salt. But I see coppery casts around some devices and it looks like an annealing issue to me.

IMHO whenever a coin becomes circulated the ability to ditinguish whether it has annealing issues is lost. There are too many similarities between annealing issues and environmental issues.

to me it does have that look, so I'm leaning toward annealing, but that may be wrong

your other nickel shows signs of a small curved clip

Please, one coin per thread. If you have a question about "the other nickel" please start a new thread for it. It quickly gets confusing to us with replies. Thanks.

Pete is correct in his affirmation. If the coin it is not in his mint package is not anymore considered annealing (even is an improper term regarding to the reality of the production chain).
