I found this 1974 D penny in a penny roll was wanting to know if anyone could help me with it as it is obvious that the it's got error(s).

Not error. It looks like it was ground down in spots.

No errors.
Everything can be attributed to damage.
There is nothing there that could have
happened during the striking of the coin.

You haven't got errors, what you have is damage. By the looks of it, it was most likely intentional post mint damage ( PMD). Not worth keeping, trade it in for something better.
