Who else is looking at one? I think I'll end up snagging a 1/4oz since I think the new design would look odd on either a full oz or a 1/10oz coin.

Gold? Pass. As per usual. Just not in my budget.

Best of luck to the buyers!

I've been waiting on this. Already have the day off to be ready to hopefully get them.

I just wish they would post up the price of the set so I can be ready.

Too small, as you implied above.

If I ever were to buy modern gold, it will either be a 2013 5-Star MacArthur or the 2014 Kennedy.

Due to conflicting priorities, I stopped collecting the AGE 1/10th oz. issues a few years back with the intention of going back and filling in the gaps. Always easier said than done, and with prices they way they are, I think I'll continue to delay.

HOWEVER, I am kind of eyeing the two-coin set...

Do any of these have investment potential? They have low mintages but are way over spot. Doesn't seem like people are too interested in AGE?

Long term? Not sure, however short term, yes

The mint is releasing the set at a price of $5055.00 each set - Now go look at ebay they are being pre-sold at $8000.00 plus... a quick 3 grand if you can get it..

I never thought about investment potential when I purchased my first AGEs back in the 2000 timeframe, nor did I care (still don't). As fate would have it, those were the best numismatic "investments" I've ever made and what was purchsed back in 2000-2010 is worth way more than spot back then. Lucky I guess, but even the 2014 Kennedy 3/4 oz is still above water even with the hefty Mint premiums. I'm guesing this huge market for PMs will sag a bit in the coming months/years but it seems gold is a fairly decent play overall. YMMV, of course, and I would not invest in Mint products if I wanted to maximize return.

FWIW I wouldn't mind $3k. I may have to grease up the credit card and buy my wife a couple glasses of wine for this one. I think I have $5k room on one of them....

Well good luck to you - dear competitor of the AGE..

I'm glad I have cash in my bank to cover these (4 if I were allowed to buy more). But I can be happy with one, If I'm lucky enough to get it..
