the bottom of the letters on this coin. the metal is very dark for nickel .

Looks like shadowing from the lighting, put your light source on a 90 degree angle directly at the coin and I'm sure it wont be so dark.

Also, looks like your trying to photograph through plastic which wont help if that is the case.

Overall looks completely normal to me.

JohnWayne007 thank you john. I think I will leave this one in the prooflike holder. its the only proof I have. that I have not touched this coin. you have a great one john.
