The 2000 " Wide AM" has a gap creating a wide A M. Simple. Not overly creative, but quickly mentioning "2000-wide" in conversation gets the idea across efficiently. However, I'm confused by the two versions of the 2000-wide cents on PCGS website. One has a Fivaz-Stanton number (FS-901) and the other doesn't. If not for the two separate PCGS numbers ascribed to them, I'd assume it was just an oversight and disregard the thing. With two separate PCGS numbers and one with an FS number, I'd like to know for sure if it's something more. Can anyone explain whether I'm wasting effort or actually learning a new variety sub-category?

Sub-category is my own description of things. Pardon me if it's somehow a faux pas.

I'm not sure why PCGS has two different numbers for the same variety (They are the same btw).

Seems like they did the same thing with the 1999 Wide AM, but not the 1998. Weird.

Then for the 1992 Close AMs they have the FS-901 as a sub variety of the " Close AM".

Seems like PCGS is just inconsistent with how they organized these in their system.
