1957- D Just has a weird blob coming off the "E" in LIBERTY. I have no idea if this is considered an error or if it is of value. Or just a common thing. Anyone who has input on this would be appreciated.  1946-S - I'm not too sure about this one but it seems the "S" is very crooked. It is almost touching the "9". Again anyone who has input on this would be appreciated.  Edited by BizzyBonez

The 1957 cent has a die chip. This is actually a common die break, called a "BIE" cent because it looks like there is an "i" between the "b" and "e" in LIBERTY. This type of die chip is somewhat collectable, so it can command a couple dollars to the right person.
The second cent is damage. A coincidental hit to the S stretched it to make it look weird and close to the 9.

Given the photos posted, I'm in agreement with jacrispies. Mint marks back then were added manually to the die, so their location (and orientation) can--and do--vary some from die to die.

 . Nice BIE. The other is just damage. You might want to research and keep Cudsoncoins.com for future finds. |

 The mm is not damaged, thats where it was stamped into the die. Only requirement back then was as long as it was under the date, and to the right of the Lincoln's jacket. |

The weak 46 on the date is very common that year. Harder to find a full 46 date on these cents, than to find a weaker one.

Gotta be not cleaned and without any damage and XF or better to go for a fifty cents. It's worth keeping as above value for a normal coin of that date, but so trivial in extra value that you are unlikely to ever actually get that price for it as mailing cost would be more than the coin is worth.
