I made a purchase of a coin recently with a slab saying "PCI Certified Capsule Coin Grading Service" with a 9 digit number and a barcode on it. As far as I've been able to determine, PCI went bankrupt several times and their websites are dead.

Is there a way to lookup this 9 digit number/barcode anywhere online?

As far as I know they never had an online database.
That's why their slabs were not allowed were never allowed to be listed on ebay like NGC, PCGS and ANACS.

PCI is now DGS (Dominion Grading Service). If the same 9 digit number applies I don't know but it's a place to start.

No, Dominion closed down years ago, the company has been sold at least twice since then and with the first sale it went back to being PCI.

Yep long gone now days. I had several friends that worked for them as graders and a couple that were attribution specialists, for awhile they even had some signed variety slabs, I always thought for the most part PCI got it right as to grading (at least in the classic coinage) not so sure in the modern aged stuff. Their attributions were usually really good also.

But nope - no way to look up the certification that I know, nor was there any way in the past even when they were around.
