This is the better of the 1842s but the next one is an O with a rarer variety I think. Thanks.

Can you describe what's going on in the right obverse field, and provide an enlarged reverse image as well?

really cant give a proper assessment using these photos. the first set is to small and the second set are at an angle.

Looks like either an improper planchet alloy mix or a rubber band was touching the coin at one time for a while.

Looks to be AU55 from what I can tell with these photos.
