At the time the coin was struck, the chances are that it looked totally normal, but either accidentally or intentionally the metal of the word IN was sheared into the crude shape of the word IM. The coin has lots of other damaged areas and look to have been buried or damaged in a fire at one time. This left the fields dark and the devices a lighter silver color, sometimes called a "Circulation Cameo." ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T!
