I know very little about American coins and the wea they go through is different then Canadian coinage. At the top of the letters there is a raised edge I don't know if it's doubling or if the rest of the letters are. Just worn down

After reading and looking at a bunch if the American coins posted I can see this is just a form of wear and normal on American coins. Canadian coins don't get this effect from wear.

Interesting to see how different the common wear from Canadian to American coins is.

Looks more like vending machine damage to me. Note, just the outer edge is affected. It is were MD, then the other areas of the devices would be affected. Not a premium coin.
