1964-D Jefferson Nickel With Reeded Edge

Hello!

I was going through some rolls of nickels and as I was rerolling what I searched, this nickel with a reeded edge jumped out at me! The reeding is even and uniform all the way around the edge. The weight is 4.87g and the width and thickness looks to be the same as other nickels.

What could have caused this?
