@zach, it is a little hard for me to tell from these pics. Are you seeing a difference in arm width on the letter Y in LIBERTY?

The phrase is "doubled die obverse" ( DDO), not "doubled died on verse." I don't see any evidence of a DDO.

This is I believe a 1947 doubled die dime listed in variety Vista. What is the difference between this IN on the dime and the IN on this Penny IN God we trust what am I doing wrong looking for doubled dies? And the other what appeared to me to be doubling on this coin

You don't see any notching and sirrifs in the bottom example
Compared to the known example?

I've been trying to get someone to help me understand what a doubled die is I'm not having too much luck it's been several hours since Sam coin told me it wasn't a double die so I tried contacting a moderator the only way I see is through the email because no one responds to my question and I get this
