Hi all,
Been a long time since I've been here, but have been going through some old coins again from my grandparents. Do I have a 1954 D over S nickel? Kind of looks like it, but I haven't had much luck finding others. Thoughts?

The 1954 error is an S over D, with the S prominent and the D in the background. Unfortunately, it appears you have a normal 1954-D with possible circulation damage to the mintmark.

You might be thinking of the 1955-D, D over S, on which the D is prominent. I'm looking a photos right now in a 2018 RedBook.

Yes I've seen the S over D.....was just hoping I found something rare. Wishful thinking I suppose. Appreciate any feedback tho :)
