All of your 1982-D LMC's are Large dates. The one everyone looks for is the 1982-D Copper Small date which is extremely rare. Yours are unfortunately not small dates. I am sure someone will come along very soon with a very detailed explanation, with pictures, to show you the difference between a small and large date.

Thanks. I was kinda stumped by the 8's. how the top one is smaller than lower one. the 2 looks it could go either way but thanks. I needed to know or I would still wonder.

Don't worry about the 8..... pay more attention to the 2. Once you learn the difference between a large date and small date 2 you won't even give it a second thought.

Sorry... that link did not work. I deleted it. Just simply Google 1982 large date vs.small date Lincoln Cent and you will get plenty of information.

I would like to see a much better picture of that first coin, closer, better lighting, I'm thinking that it may be a small date. the 2 does 'appear' to have that 'swoop' to the lower part - plus the gap from the tail of the 2 to the rim seems to be larger than the others.

The space between the 2 and the rim are the big areas to look at: Looking at the '2' upside down will also show you something different about them: If it looks like a '7' then it is a large date.

I do think the first maybe small date due to the size. I am not experienced in this I am just using what I see others saying and I do see the larger spacing but it is hard to tell. It defiantely looks like more spacing than the others. Good luck!

The first image is a small date. I see the bend from horizontal to vertical. Sharp bend as opposed to large date which is nearly diagonal. IMO. SEE.

Even if the first pic is a small date Denver Mint it is practically worthless. It's a Zincoln.
