Hammered Coin Found On Public Beach/ Need Help / And 2 ( 1 /2 Real

Need Help ** I have searched Standard Catalogue of World Coins Edition # ( 5 ) Years 1801 thru 1900.** Pages #1 thru # 1194. Also Standard Catalogue of World Coins 5th Edition Coins from 1701 thru 1800 about 500 pages. Still haven't found any identification . This Hammered Coin was found on a Public Beach in South Carolina. I also have search Bermuda and Solomon Islands

@gold, it looks like there are a couple nicks that are exposing fresh metal. Any idea what metal this is made from? Is it copper? Also, please confirm that it isn't attracted to a magnet. Thx.

It does not attach to a Magnet, The Nicks you see is Exposed Cooper from cleaning to get the Details of the Obverse and Reverse of the coin. It been in the Sand dunes for over 100 years at least from a Hurricane
I find a lot of Old Coins on this Beach

Ok good to know it is copper, although those evenly spaced dimples are ringing any bells for me in terms of a design element for a hammered coin. How confident are you on the age of this piece actually being 19th Century or earlier? I wonder if it isn't some slag from a hunk of copper in a campfire. It will be nice to see what others think too.
