Seems it has many impressions that feel mint pressed but I may be wrong. The face is actually pushed out off of coin I'm guessing from rear mark. It is thinner running down the middle top to bottom than right or left side. Thanks for any help. First post here may come out bad

I agree they look odd and not usual. Any comment as to the thinner portions. Wouldn't it be illegible if it were that much wear. Top of head and bottom of bust. Tapers on both sides but still read everything clear

@kyr, first welcome to CCF. Second, for sure those gouges are just damage. With this level of circulation wear plus those gouges, I think it is likely that the coin has been partially flattened. An alternative would be that this was minted on a partly thinned planchet, but that seems very unlikely. Can you please post the weight of this cent? Thx.

The weight should be less than 3.11 grams.
