Just got lucky with this work place find. Clearly lost a lot of Lustre though. Any idea on what it could be graded as.

An impaired proof--by definition, a proof found in 'circulation'. Grade might fall in the low PF range--62-63 perhaps, given the slightly soft photos posted.

The obverse is definitely not up to proof standards

fingerprints really kill this one as they are more prominent on proofs. not sure it was circulated but it was handled improperly. PF63

I got it from my register at work, a very busy convenience store

Quote: The obverse is definitely not up to proof standards Why do you say that? Once a Proof always a Proof. Finger print or not I think I would put this coin at PF-62 DCAM The hit over the wing hurts

Wouldn't acetone remove the fingerprint if it wasn't on there very long?

Define not very long . The longer it is on the coin the more permanent the print becomes. The acid from the oils etches the metal. John1
