Hello,
I have a coin album which I bought it during a trip in europe when I was young.
I have a doubt it may contain pvc, how can I be sure? does yellowish sleeve edge color is a sign?

If these are just the pages, and are not in direct contact with the coins, I don't think it matters.

I have 40 year old PVC pages in my coin albums, with no problems.

One of the characteristics of PVC album pages is that 2x2's tend to get stuck fast in them especially in humid conditions, after being stored for a few years.
The reason for this is that the oily plasticizer that makes PVC pliable leaches out over a long period of time, and eventually (but slowly) evaporates away.

If the happens, it time to change to archival quality album pages, made from either polypropylene, or Mylar, especially so for more the more valuable coins.

I have recycled my old PVC album pages for all of the coins in my collection, that maybe valued at less than a couple of dollars each.

If buying new album pages, ask and make sure that they are not made from PVC.
