@hese, it is always nice to get some silver in pocket change. You might be holding your phone too close to the coin as you take your pic and so it can't focus.

Good point, I use my phone to get images of my coins, but I hold the phone up about 2 feet away and use the zoom in function to frame it well and let the camera focus better.

Always nice finding silver coins in the wild! As others mentioned, spend some time to play with the distance from the phone to your coin to get a well-focused image. If there is a macro setting, definitely try that. Lastly, if your phone camera has a resolution setting, make sure you've got it set to the highest quality (largest file size) setting - this helps retain sharpness in the image if you have to crop the photo.
