It was inevitable, the same way a store thief finds himself driving by 7-11's that are not on the way home, and even as I completed the PCGS recondider paperwork on the 1895, I found myself upgrading the set . Whats your guess on this upgrade? Edited by farrider11 08/22/2021 6:49 pm

A nicely struck example for the issue - MS63

Cheek is pretty rough - I'll say 63 tops.

I agree, net MS-63. Pretty decent strike for 1891-O, and a fairly tough date above mid-AU.

Does anyone that has a full set of something, find themselves upgrading after two years of puttutting something together? I mean I cant afford a 400K coin, but I did find find some things I could upgrade, by a point or two.
And another queston, would you upgrade a coin a full point if the one you have has a PL designation, and the one you upgrade looses the PL designation?

this is actually a nice strike for this year which is typically soft and weak. overall the reverse looks MS65 with decent luster and little if any marks or scuffs (at least based on the photo provided). the obverse is wear the rub lies on this coin. the cheek chatter is quite high that includes a couple pretty good digs along with multiple field scuffs and abrasions. I think the reverse may help hold this one, but just barely, to MS63
