This is a 1986 Silver Eagle with all kinds of doubling. Some looks like Machine Doubling, but some shows clear "notching"

The first "A" in America shows tripling and notching.

This shows the "A" and "M" in America

The "MER" of America. Lots of doubling, even tripling and the notching.

In this picture, the "NIT" of United looks tripled

"STATES" is doubled. Possible notching on the "E" and "S"

"OF" is doubled

This is where I get really confused. This looks like Machine Doubling, bit the "ILV" is pushed down and right while the "R~ON" is pushed down and left. How can that be?

The wreath is doubled

Once again, this looks like Machine Doubling on the stars.

Metal pushed around, letters thinner than normal. Parts of the letters are flattened into the field. All signs of Machine Doubling.
