The moma bat has this triangle shaped, gear looking pattern down her face. Anyone know what causes this?

It's just a contact mark from the reeded edge of another coin. You may be able to match up another quarter and you'll see just how this could happen.

Not a strike through this time, just Post Mint Damage. PMD

as well. The reeded edge of a coin has come in contact with yours. The result is, your coin is now damaged. Post mint damage ( PMD), which means no premium for your coin, sorry. Keep searching!
