Given the photos posted, I'm thinking roller lines--not classic woody characteristics (improper planchet alloy mix).

I agree, these are typically from roller lines, created in the material (rolls of metal) from which the planchets are punched.

Rolling lines don't mean that they were moving the metal from here to there.
But cold rolling to finish up getting to correct thickness of the roll stock.
