Hey everyone I don't post on here much and I am trying to learn more about grading so I thought Id use this coin to start. I am Think the wear looks more like a xf 40 but with the damage in front of the face and parts of reeds missing I am not sure that is fair grade. All things considered I am thinking more like vf 35? Let me know what you think

Overall I'd say VF, VF25/30. Lack of dentils that you mentioned is not do to damage, but a strike weakness. Possibly a slightly tapered planchet.
