Not sure if it's a proof or if it's just in crazy good shape. Unfortunately there is a finger print in ine side an one scratch through the queen's hair. I'm not sure how to tell if a coins proof How would I get rid of the fingerprint if possible without damaging the coin? A 5 second acetone dip?

So not a proof just a really kept coin? I can basically see my reflexion in it, I assume that's what deep camo means? I've never looked that up, mayb I'll post it for grading then, though don't think this would be worth more then face.

I think it must be a proof if there was non silver proofs. The shine looks like the coin is black when lighting hits it. Unfortunately that fingerprint:(. But a cool find, so now iv found a proof and a specimen coin in circulation rolls.

Cameo and deep cameo mean that the design elements are essentially "frosted" or something similar. It looks to be "proof-like", not a proof coin.

The only proofs in this series were in the silver sets. There was an uncirculated nickel set which is where this particular quarter may have come from.

Thanks JimmyD ya I'd say it's from an uncirculated set, I wish there wasn't that fingerprint and scratch. But a cool find, 22 years old almost in circulation in such good shape, I knew it wasn't a normal business strike circulation coin. No scratches or fingerprint on my specimen 2002 dime luckily. Maybe I'll add the specimen dime as a second prize in my give away, not an amazing free coin but as iv stated I'm not big on dimes. I'm going to pick up my first box of quarters tomorrow, idk how boxes work though. When I ask they say they are sealed and from the mint, so idk if there is customer rolls or in melted rolls in the boxes, anything in the white machine rolls has nother pre 2001

Doubt if you will find anything before 2001 unless there are some older customer rolls in there. The ARP has claimed most of those in circulation to reclaim the nickel.

Ya I generally don't ever get the white mint packed rolls at the bank, though if I'm going to be error searching newer coins are on the table. But they may have a bulk box of customer rolls or several I'm hoping. It's a larger bank, but if not I can probably get 20-40 or more customer rolls of different denominations daily from the cash box.
