Dowhat Pillar of the Community United States 877 Posts	Posted 09/05/2021 4:39 pm Here is a 1970 S SD LMC I picked up to fill a hole. Not much chance of stumbling upon one here in south Florida. Aquired at one of my LCS's. I know that grading is a nother forum, but feel free to conjecture as to grade and value if you like. I will let you know dealers grade and price later if you want to know. My main concern is that I was not aware of the many varieties for this cent. After referencing Wexler, VV, and CC, close but no cigar. If the "IBERT" of LIBERTY exhibits no spread in your opinions, I would have to guess some grease involved. I realize that a giveaway for the small date is a mushy Liberty, but this seems little extreme. The reverse also appears to be a "floating roof" indicating LDS. Nice rims, clean fields. Look like a die chip between the S & T of trust. What say you? Report this Post to the Staff

Rather, it conserns varieties pertaining to the small date. The majority of attributions I checked do not distinguish between large or small which makes it difficult to narrow down especially when there is not a complete image of the date.
