I recently bought this note off of ebay. For the first time since 2001 the limit of "Oldest note in my collection" was pushed away a few years YEAH. But, is this actually Colonial? It's from after 1776 after all...? Thanks!

If it was issued by a commercial business, it would be a debenture,
if it was issued by a Government, it would be a bond.

All of this sort of thing is cyberspace digital these days.

Digital or paper certificate, they are tradeable under the conditions of their issue.

Item pictured tradeable as well, but as a notaphilic item.
