Proof Silver State Quarters, Prior To 2004

NumisEd Pillar of the Community United States 5177 Posts	Posted 09/09/2021 10:48 am I am correct in my assessment that proof silver State Quarters prior to 2004 CANNOT be obtained in a standalone Mint Set, but have to be bought as part of the larger Proof Silver Set (which includes the other denominations)? Numiscrat Valued Member United States 221 Posts	Posted 09/09/2021 12:48 pm Yes. Correct from my experience. I lucked into a couple of pre-2004 sets that had been split up and got the quarters cheap. Pre-COVID, I tried to nab most of the silver quarter proof sets for around silver melt, and that was fairly doable. The one that I had to pay up for was the 1999 set. I cracked them out and dropped them into a black Capital Plastics holder. I really like them displayed that way. Report this Post to the Staff
