Hello everyone,

I was given these coins by a family member years ago and its time to find out if any of them are worth anything and then sell them, hopefully all to one person. I am under no illusion that these coins are worth anything. I'm sure most are worth face value, but there seem to be a few more rare ones and maybe there are some in the bunch that are worth something. I didn't waste time taking any great photos or turning them on the back side as I'm not sure if it is worth my time. I'd appreciate if anyone here might take a look and let me know what I have, if anything and what I should do as far as selling. I am thankful in advance for anyone's feedback. I will add a link to the photos.

There are a handful of silver coins. Otherwise, almost everything seems to be face value.
The silver coins are any half/dime/quarter 1964 or prior.
Nickels 1942-1945 (as the ones in the War Nickel holder)
The proof dollar in the Statue of liberty set.
Also, any halves 1965-1970 are 40% silver
Lastly, its possibly that some of the bicentennial (the ones dated 1776-1976) coins are 40% silver. You have to check the edges.

You can go ahead and just spend the $2 bills, they are not worth anything over face value.

I agree with all the above. The coins and currency that are face value you should just spend. Dimes, Quarters, Half Dollars older than 1964 are silver so you can sell them to a coin shop or package them as one item and sell them on ebay.

The Liberty (1905) and the Bison/Indian nickels are worth maybe 75 cents.

The proof sets sadly aren't worth much over face, but you can try selling those also.

If you want to do everything no one will give you much more than face for everything. Like I said said the silver as 1 group and the proof sets as another.

I submit that there is greater sentimental value than anything here, but thats not nothing. Since the cash value here isn't much, you probably aren't loosing much by holding them either. Even if you don't care for them, maybe another relative would appreciate the collection and that connection to your family member.

Agree, what looks like a lot probably won't add up to very much at all. Mostly sentimental value.
