What do y'all think? I found a roll of 1968s cents that I bought several years ago that are supposed to be "BU". These are in a "regular" type roll and I looked at the coin at each end. Think I should crack them open and look for any errors or defects? If so what should I look for? Thanks in advance for any insight into this matter.
Rest in Peace

If you Google "1968 S cent errors" you will see a variety of errors including one struck on a silver planchet.

That year was the one of many for machine doubled problems. (68-70) But I've found a few interesting varieties on that year.

Even on a proof one.

The doubling you see on these images are places to look for doubling because the letters are larger/show a line from the first hubbing to the second hubbing.

Here is an example of Machine Doubling for that year. (first image)

So let us know what you find.
