1974 Quarters With No Mint Mark

On ebay and Etsy there are 1974 quarters no mint mark for sale.
I have a number of the 1974 quarters with no mint mark and I thought that the no mint mark just meant that the quarter was minted at the Philadelphia mint.
How can I tell if the missing mint mark is an error or intentional?

. 1974 no MM is normal.Be very careful what you buy on ebay, and be very very careful on Etsy.T tell if it is an error or PMD you need to post good photos here on CCF

They mintmarks were added in 1980 for quarters. As mentioned, without a mintmark is normal for the Philly coins. Same for proof coins until 1968 with an added 'S' mintmark for the new location of the proof coins. (but not all proof coins are from San Francisco since then)
