I'm new to all this. I am, on a regular basis, finding little errors here and there. What are the most different kinds of errors are the most favored?

i would recommend checking the error section, and familiarize yourself with what is and what isn't an error.. Then check on ebay under sold error coins, and see what is worth collecting..

The more obvious an error happens to be, the more valuable it is likely to be. The more obvious an error happens to be, the more likely that someone else has beaten you to identifying it, and taken it out of circulation.
Very minor errors can become an academic study in their own right, but for the most part, are valued at a lot less premium over their face value.
What errors to look for really depends what motivates you: academic study, or trying to win the lottery.

A damaged coin is not an error coin. Just like a wrecked car is not a factory error. 99% of the coins with incuse marks on the coins are post strike damaged. The 1% ones are the ones with a premium. A damaged coin is just a face value coin. No premium for a damaged coin. Are there different types of items stuck through errors? Hard items, soft items?http://goccf.com/t/407332#3491125What is out there that is is not a collectable and why?http://goccf.com/t/406786#3486096Why are die breaks, chips/rim cud/cuds taller than all other devices? http://goccf.com/t/406906#3487222What is going on with the Wide AM and Close AMs on the 1992, 1998-2000 cents?http://goccf.com/t/399072#3417121How to tell the differences between device damage/device filled with grease, polished field reduction.http://goccf.com/t/395693#3386786A lot more topics are covered on this thread of threads CoopHome (note it turned blue?
