1914-D Penny- Wondering If It Is Real Or Counterfeit?

Looks to me as if someone tried to remove a scratch or graffiti from the head. Remaining devices, especially on the reverse are sharper than the jaw, cheek, and temple area. Area looks to still have some residual deep scratches and looks slightly concave. Obverse makes it looks like a VG Details, but had it not been modified (if this is the case), it looks like a Fine Details genuine coin to me Edited by Ty2020b 09/15/2021 9:58 pm Report this Post to the Staff

The coin is definitely rough and so shiny I can't even take good pictures of it. But if it's genuine I'm not complaining. I bought 50.00 dollars of wheat pennies in a bank bag and this coin and a 1931-s were both in it. I think I came out way ahead! Report this Post to the Staff
