Mysterious Counterstamp On 1814 8 Reales Piece? Arabic W/ Camel In Triangle

newguy22 Valued Member United States 277 Posts	Posted 09/18/2021 2:16 pm I'm curious to know if anyone here knows about this counterstamp on an 1814 8 reales piece. Have any of you seen this before? Can anybody translate the wording underneath the image? The picture appears to be a camel inside a triangle. I would assume this 8 reales piece made it to the middle east at one point? Don't think I had ever seen it before (Bob?), but simply from observation/experience (let alone the "fabric" of the physical stamp itself), it's almost certainly a modern concoction (fake stamp). Numerous fabricated Islamic-world stamps of this general style have surfaced on 8 Reales (and others such as circulated Maria Theresa restrikes) over the past decade. Report this Post to the Staff
