Here's the deal;
I ask a question , first one with the correct answer gets this 1999 - 100.000 TL coin commemorating 75th anniversary of the Turkish Republic.

Contest-By-Renal---Ended Contest-By-Renal---Ended

The answer of the question is in one of my previos posts. Just to play it safe, I'll mail the answer to forum mom prior to contest kick off.
Susan will not be able to participate due to this burden, in stead, I'll send her a small gift. I think that is a humble token for all she and Bobby has done for us.

I'll post the question on March 3rd, 01:00 (am) GMT+2 - Turkish time (which corresponds to 16:00 / 04:00pm EST, and 09:00 am Aussie time)
I've chosen this hour to make sure most of the forum members are awake.

Edited for start notice

OK Guys, Here we go!!

What value is 100.000 TL in new Turkish currency values?

In order to answer that, you will need to search through my previous posts. (or since it's public information, maybe some google search gives results, I don't know) First one to post the correct answer gets the coin in the first post of this topic.

FYI: I'll be off the computer (sleeping:) until 11:30 pm EST. I'll declare if we have a winner then.

I need to correct myself regarding time issue.
I previously said that 01:00 am here is 4:00 pm EST. I was to post the question and when I hit "Submit reply" I realised it's 2 hours later than I've said.

I need to clarify that, I first thought to start it at 23:00 here. Then considered to make it a later hour so the Aussies would be up.

100.000 TL equals 0.0001 TRY also known as 10 YKr or 10 Kurush. they simply dropped the last 6 zeros off of the old TL to make the new TRY so say you had 1,000,000 TL you would now have 1 TRY.

TRY is the international code but in turkey the code is YTL.

and the Winner is...

demonboy279

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Well I was just to give up:)

The answer was in these topics:

https://goccf.com/t/3194
https://goccf.com/t/3671

in 2005 six zeroes were off of the TL so YTL is what we use now.
100.000 TL /1.000.000 = 0.1 YTL (also 10 Kurus was acceptible)

demonboy, e-mail me your address and you'll have TR coin coming to you.
