It's really interesting that the crack on the obverse is much further into the coin than the one on the reverse. I wonder if it would be an angled break if that section dropped off. Nice pics. I think of these as ragged clips (blow-holes) or slag inclusions that happen to overlap the rim of the coin. Is there anything I need to look for to indicate it isn't a planchet error and just damage? Or indicators that it is? Very nice by the way. Report this Post to the Staff
