It's obvious with the notching that it's a DDO. I wasn't sure what was going on until I saw it was attributed back in 2016. Give me some good news and tell me it's so! I am about 99 percent sure it's the 1972 D 50c DD0.

I agree there is a lot of glare but the "T" of TRUST looks promising.

Thank you, Petespockets55 & John1. I know my pictures need work. If it is the DDO-001 Should I get it graded? Also, where is a population list? PCGS doesn't grade this one. Again, pretty new to this and enjoying every second. Thank you so much for your help.

A coin needs a minimum retail value after slabbing of $150 to justify all costs involved in having it slabbed.I just checked ebay sold values and nothing comes close to $150.

The lighting angle is too low for your setup. It needs to be more more center of the coin to be helpful. Too low spot lights the sides of the devices. Also the light is too bright and needs to be diffused to help cut the glare. Rookie mistake to want to shine as bright on the area you want to show. But when this happens, you see it in your image, but the glare hides what you see.

Top image is what you see, lower image shows that glare hides what you want us to see. Light is incorrect. Rather than spot light area, turn the coin to allow the light to fall across the devices.

Way to much reflection and glare in your photos. Your half dollar looks like MDD (Machine Damage Doubling), not a DDO.

If you have a single light source, try covering it with a coffee filter or a piece of paper, that should cut down your glare....good luck
