What's the grade and value of this 88? Should I send it in for grading? Going to sell it.

Typically, when a coin is graded, they check both sides. If you want someone to guess what it might be from pictures, you'll want to attach the reverse too.

I wouldn't get it graded, based on the obverse alone though.

Your title should read 1988-D,because that is what it is. Not would grading. A coin needs a retail value of at least $150 after slabbing to justify all costs involved in having it slabbed.

Is it lighting, or is there a bit of split plating going on in the vicinity of the mint mark? Seeing a reverse photo would be a good thing. Thanks.

Show the reverse and we'll give you a grade , either way do not send it in to TPG .
