This little guy was mixed in with what I thought was a cigar box of about 150 1909 VDB cents that I won at auction.

Looks like a $1000 coin easily once authenticated. The reverse has very little wear and the obverse was perhaps a tad lightly struck up, at least in these images. Best of luck!

I paid $225 for the lot. So far a roll of XF VDBs, 25 more in AU+ and 5 AU+ 1909-P.There were also 4 worn Indian cents, 3 XF 1910 and 1 XF 1914. I thought there were about 150 coins and there was 138, so I was close. I only had a few pics to look at.

To bad the rim is worn right at the lower part of V.D.B. Slight wear on obverse , a virtual AU-58+++ If proves to be genuine it could be a $1,400 coin or more in my opinion .

Get it slabbed. Fakes abound with these.

Ya, and the VDB has the right type of B (slanted middle line) Insane find! Definitely should get it authenticated.

if this is the real deal what an amazing find! the only possible obverse die for this based on the MM is #3. my only concern is that the top of the "S" should be in line with the bottoms of both 9's and using the photos provided they are not. it could be that you dont have a perfect straight up and down photo so it could be skewing it a little

@panzaldi Can you do that line trick with the one I posted from NGC? It's the one with the dirty S LOL. Also, the one I shot with my scope. It's the one w/Lincoln's bust and LIBERTY showing. My scope may not be at 90 degrees and I know the ones with my phone aren't. Thanks.
