1987 P Washington Quarter Planchet Error Or PMD?

Polly Planchet New Member United States 20 Posts	Posted 09/26/2021 02:23 am I've read about spooned coins and Dryer Coins but still wanted verification. This quarter has no rim, the edge is smooth but rounded, not flat. Does not look hammered. The diameter is slightly less than normal and it weighs 4.81 gms instead of 5.67. I have other quarters from this era whose edges are almost worn down but they all have rims. Advice and comments appreciated. Apologies for the lousy specimen. Report this Post to the Staff

For this quarter it sure does look like mechanical wear on the edge rather than, for example, being struck outside the collar.
