When posting photos in the grading section especially, the pics need to be clear and in focus. Front and back pics of the whole coin properly rotated and cropped.

Obverse photo is a bit too soft to ascertain what surface conditions are. Given all that, I could see MS63, possibly 64.

This the kind of info I am looking for. My question to you is what are you seeing that I am missing (although my images are from my phone at 2x microscope) and they are no where near what the coin looks like in hand. If coin were altered would there be evidence of a color change? I have had this coin for 20 years. I must add that I got it from a friend who claimed he just opened a new roll of 1930-d coins and the date is by no means rare making me question why some one would alter a common coin. Although I know you are giving me your honest opinion and are probably right.

I have quickly learned who knows their stuff on here and you are definitely one who does. All I can say is my photos are much sharper before I post them.. They come out blurry and with less detail.. I will try to do better! However it was only yesterday I learned how to post a photo,, baby steps I guess

Obverse a bit out of focus, hard to read. The reverse looks to be around 63.

For your first photos, not bad. The reverse photo is actually very good, just need to crop and flip it. Your white balance is nearly perfect for the reverse - thanks for using a WHITE background. I wish everyone did.

Try reducing the resolution you're taking the pictures at. For web pictures you only need 1000x1000 so choose a resolution just above that on your camera. This will reduce the compression needed to get to the right file size for posting and sharpen them up a bit.

this is why I stated based on your photos as photos are challenging at best to accurately assess a coin due to lighting, angle, quality etc.

the photo of the reverse looks dull and flat as if it was cleaned or dipped. as for the obverse the lighting is so strong that its pretty much impossible to determine surface originality
