I call these HR Saints "once in a lifetime coins" as they usually end up in very strong hands! Sounds like yours is in that category!

I've seen worse MS65 slabbed. I think its undergraded based in the photos

If it were mine, I'd do what you plan to do...send to CAC. If they think it's a 65 you should get a gold bean which is as good as reholdered as a 65. Nice looking coin.
