Found this one yesterday in a bag of random change and thought it was pretty cool simply due to the "re-engraved tie" aspect. I thought at first it was just a damaged MM but did a little research and sure enough, it's a match. It has all the markers associated with this RPM down to the designer's initials and the light die polish lines in top of bay #5. Variety Vista's example of this one looks very rough as it looks like that example took some hard hits. Coppercoins example is right on the money. Pretty neat about Lincoln's bow tie.

You have the coin in hand and can tell better than us, so it may be. The mm location looks close but to me, your mm looks to be turned more clockwise but that may be because your orientation of the date/mm does not match either listing. I cannot make out any markers, the pics pixelate when I blow them up and as for the re-engraved tie, I have ran across a pile of those over the past few years. The only other thing I see that would lead me to believe that this is 007, is the direction of the die scratches around the date/mm and cannot match any of them per the listings.

E-W position is right there, but looks to be a little off N-S as well as rotationally.

Makecents and Centsation (wow... that was a difficult one to spell in tandem:) I do now see what you are referring to regarding the rotation of the mm. I have been fooled before and I may have been fooled this time as well. I am not ashamed to admit when I think I found something and then only later to realize it was not what I thought it was, no worries at all. With the comment about the rotation of the mm I now see it differently. Thank you very much for that observation! The entire coin exhibits all of the markers for this particular RPM (007) but now I see my mistake regarding the placement and rotation of the mm. This is very odd to me because I believed this to be an RPM, in part due to all of the markers present for this RPM (AFTER finding a possible RPM) but maybe this isn't the case. I will have to look at this one more in-depth tomorrow. No big deal either way it turns out, not a bank breaker by no means, but I still love the "re-engraved tie....."& And coop, thank you for your reply. I looked up 003 and it does not have any resemblance to 007. Am I missing something here? Thank you all!
