I'm pretty new to coin saving but I may have spotted a dent of some kind. Let me know if this dent in Washington's eye site seems to be anything. Thanks guys!

Why? People do curious things--scratch paint ('keying') on parked cars, place gum on the underside of tables, leave graffiti on restroom walls, etc. People being people.

People are always trying to imitate a mint error to sell to the unsuspecting. When they fail, they spend it for face value. Someone finds it and think they have the holy grail, when all they find is a damaged coin.
