To prove that it is a 1982-D copper large date cent. Look at other devices side by side with the small date examples: Note the differences in sizes of devices between the two years? Note also the space from the bust to the date/Liberty/We on the two side by side. The large dates are made from an aging swollen master die. The recreation of a new master hub put the locations back to their normal position. Thus your coin is a normal large date Denver cent. Not the 1982-D small date copper cent.
