These are all Machine Doubling on the mintmarks. Note the areas you are looking at all have the same thing in common:
1. The mintmark has a reduced size because the Machine Doubling removed the contour of the devices.
2. On the same coins you will find Machine Doubling also in the same direction on other devices on the coin.
3. The only affected areas affected are the outside edges of the devices, where Machine Doubling affects all devices. This leaves the area in question flat not enlarged.
4. The mintmarks are not enlarged. When you look at RPMs, note that you can see evidence of two or more punching of the mintmark punch.
Note on the listings on Variety Vista, that the overall shape of the mintmarks are enlarged from the multiple punchings.
