I'm not sure I understand your question? There is a stain of some sort on the right side, but I don't think that's what you're asking about.

This is part of the normal design, I found this out recently myself lol. Three of the columns have this, keep looking!

Keep in mind the 1973 cents had a strong strike on the cents that year. On the obverse you see an taller rim on these. I feel they they were trying to ends the issue with the Machine Doubling on the 1968-1972 cents. I agree with the stains. If could have been before/after the circulation of the coin. The stains are not a plus for the coin. Often a reduction on the grades for distracting stains when a coin is graded. It removes eye appeal for the coin.
