I'm excited to be the high bidder today on this 1726-BB French ecu of Louis XV, which is from the Strasbourg mint. What grade would you give it?

France-1726-Bb-Ecu-Strasbourg---Approaching-A-Complete-Year-Set

My goal is to obtain attractive examples from each of the 28 French mints active in 1726, which was the first year of this type (see table below).

When the 1726-BB arrives, I will have 25 of 28, just lacking the 1726-AA, 1726-D, and 1726-P.

Pretty impressive! Are those adjustment marks on the portrait side of your latest acquisition?

Yes, those are adjustment marks made to the planchet prior to striking, to bring it within Weight Tolerance.
